About

  1. Desktop Halfpipe has a built-in camera. Press F12 while the game has focus, or Ctrl+Shift+F12 from anywhere, and it takes a photo of your park.

How it works

  1. Press the shortcut. The game's menus and buttons hide for a moment, so the shot is just your park.
  2. The photo saves as a PNG file in your Pictures folder, inside a Desktop Halfpipe folder.
  3. A small thumbnail is added to the Photos album in your journal, so you can look back at your favorite moments in game.
  4. The camera only captures the game itself, never your desktop or other windows, so your work stays private.

Tips for great shots

  1. Catch your rider mid-air: press F12 right after you leave the lip.
  2. Try different weather and seasons from the tray menu. Fog, snow and fireflies at night all look great.
  3. Turn trees on with Ctrl+Shift+Q for a fuller scene.
  4. Visit the Plaza, the beach or the Drive-In for a change of scenery.
