Ghost

Who he is

1. Ghost is a Cidertown kid, and the DJ when a concert is on. He wants spaces where people can belong without explaining why they are there.
2. He hides affection under indifference. Caring out loud makes him feel exposed.
3. He makes playlists that are obviously about specific people, and he will deny it.
4. He works at Welly's shop and is into listening to records, which is complicated by his co-worker Brigid, who skips every track before it finishes.
5. You can talk when he is on the curb.

Friendship

1. Early. He saves you the corner seat and insists it was an accident.

People he knows

1. Welly supplies records, gear, and the corner where Ghost first played in public — and is now his employer at the shop. Pom understands caring that does not advertise itself. Kira comes to pull people in, while Ghost leaves room for them to approach. Brigid is his co-worker; she skips tracks; he has not accepted this.

Where he stands

1. In the plaza in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, when it is clear, fog, drizzle, fireflies, or snow, and it is night. At the Drive-In he stands off to the side.
