Arlo

Who they are

1. Arlo is an Old Falls kid. They want to find out what happens when somebody actually tries the idea.
2. They sometimes start the test before anyone has agreed what is being tested, or whether everyone agreed to test it.
3. They start a lot of sentences with what happens if, and they are often already doing the thing.
4. They run the projector at the Drive-In and are into old movies. They have conducted experimental screenings nobody agreed to and has now used all six projector settings.

Friendship

1. Early. They want you to beat a best score, then try again right away.

People they know

1. Moby encourages them to fail in public. Myrie asks the question first, where Arlo tests first. Mullen flinches at the process, and sometimes needs exactly that energy to get out of a plan.

Where they stand

1. In the plaza in spring, summer, and autumn, when it is clear, rain, or wind, and it is day. At the halfpipe they skate past.
